Hey guys, so it’s been quite a while since I last posted on my blog and to be honest I have nothing to say. I originally wanted to do the 3 month challenge but ended up not doing it as I was too busy preparing to fly off to Australia which is where I live right now. It’s such a huge step in my journey moving to a new country when I’m 18 and taking a step closer in the career I want to do in the future. I’m currently doing my bachelor in composition and music production and have been meeting all sorts of different people in school. I’ve recently landed a job interview and I hope everything goes well and I get a part-time job to support myself. I still attend language meetups to practice languages so that I don’t forget them although it can be a bit hard maintaining them especially with how busy school is. It’s been over a month since I’ve been here in Sydney and I’m really liking it so far although the weather can be really ridiculous sometimes. >< Hopefully I’ll get to travel more around Sydney and other parts of Australia when I have the time and hopefully more money xD
Hey guys~ how have you all been?
Recently on the 13th of June, I had a skype interview with the Head of Department for the university that I was applying for. Honestly, I was so nervous I probably messed up quite a bit but it was all good. As I was waiting for the acceptance letter to arrive in the inbox I was so nervous. You know that feeling you get when you’re just patiently waiting for something to happen but it hasn’t occured yet? Well that’s kinda what it felt like.
And I am pleased to inform everyone that I have been accepted into university! Woo hoo~!! I feel kinda sad having to leave all my friends and family behind and move into a whole new country but hopefully it’ll be the experience of a lifetime and I hope to create many great opportunities there!
I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey and to all the wonderful people I’ve met in 2013 it’s been great knowing each and everyone of you guys~
P.S. I’ll be leaving Singapore around August and honestly am both really excited and nervous about this whole thing but still I can’t wait!
Hi, I’ve officially graduated from my school but the graduation ceremony has yet to happen. But it’s ok, at least I got to graduate. Anyways, I’d just like to share the fruits of my labour. I wouldn’t say it’s my best work or anything like that but still I’d appreciate it if you guys just take a second to listen.
It has been such a great opportunity working with everyone in school, discovering what I’m good at, what I like doing and perhaps even what I want to do in the future.
Now, it’s on to the next step! Applying for university and really hoping that I get in.
You can here my demo cd (Farewells) here:
Here’s another one of my film, soundtrack, orchestral-like scores. It’s really different from my previous score “Battle to Nowhere” I wanted to try some new elements this time round and experiment with different things but at the same time i didn’t want to go to crazy with it.
As the title says it, it is kind of a peace march but it’s entirely up to your imagination what images run through your head when you listen to this new score of mine.
Hope you guys will enjoy it and do share it around~
Once again another fun time at the Japanese meetup this time I managed to convince my friend to tag along. It was great meeting lots of new people, I got to practice lots of Japanese and I think my Japanese is improving a lot. To me, the best way to learn languages is to definitely to listen and to speak in the language. It’s kind of like playing a game, I mean you don’t level up by sitting there right? You go out and kill xDD Yea I know it’s a weird analogy but still it makes sense, right?
Well, have you seen anyone getting fluent in a language without having ever speaking the language? I doubt so…they might get good grades in test and exams and might know lots of grammar rules but if you can’t even speak the language, what’s the point of all that?
The beauty about learning a new language is to be able to communicate with others, learn new things, about their culture etc and the list goes on.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to attend as many meetups as possible before I leave
this is a new orchestral piece I wrote…I’m still trying to learn as much as I can and hope to share my progress as I continue sharing more compositions to you guys.
I got my inspiration for writing this after finally deciding to sit down and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy which surprisingly took me a really long time to finally want to watch it but I’m really glad I did
Thanks to anyone who comments, likes and shares the video it really helps out a lot and it’s great when more people can hear my compositions and share their thoughts on it. Good or bad.
