New work and life so far

Hey guys~ sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated this blog. I’ve honestly just been so caught up with university, assignments, essays, projects etc that I haven’t been able to update much at all. This is my latest piece I wrote for my mid terms, major study portfolio and I’m hoping people can hear some improvement in the work I’ve done.
I’m currently still busy with assignments and exams so I probably won’t update much till then.

See ya~

End of a semester and new beginnings

Hey y’all~

It’s been a while since my last blog post so I’ll keep it short. I just finished my 2nd semester in university and so far it’s going great:) I’m learning a lot and honing my craft as a composer and also a producer. It’s great learning more about the production side of things as well. Life in Sydney has been great so far and I have to say it’ll be great if I could just stay here permanently but I guess I can just figure out how I’m gonna do that in the near future:) My next semester starts in a week and I’m both excited and nervous about the new subjects I’m undertaking. I’ve decided to share my latest composition which I wrote for the Halo 2 trailer, did a re-score and added sound effects (well a bit; did it at the last minute) for my assignment/portfolio. Hope you guys enjoy it~

Music and how it’s going so far

It’s great to be honest being at university and learning about composing and other stuff amongst all of that. Despite the fact there are subjects which I find absolutely unnecessary and not going to help my career in the future at all. Being surrounded by great musicians has been a far greater experience than I would ever expect. Having these kind of peers just makes me want to push harder and aim higher. I’ve been working on my craft, seeing myself improve more as I go deeper into it.

Here’s some of my stuff I did last trimester and a remix/re-arrangement of Destiny’s Door for the Bleeding Fingers Contest

Life so far…

Hi? I guess since it’s been such a long time since I’ve written anything in this blog, it’s just sorta a weird introduction isn’t it?

Everything’s going great here in Sydney, meeting many new people from all different walks of life which is intriguing as I’m learning more about various things about the world in general. I’ve also had many first experiences since I’ve arrived in Sydney, went camping (been camping before on a school trip but not in an actual tent) helping to pitch a tent, driving really far up north. Having a great time, looking at various beaches and playing around. Although a new trimester starting again, it’s been getting stressful especially with essays, assignments and exams. There are just so many things I’ve experienced so far that I’m having a hard time putting it into words. I’ve even made a video on my first ferry experience in Japanese and what I was going to do that day etc. I was mumbling in the video, recorded the audio at home but didn’t want to disturb my housemate, I live in a room and my room’s right next to another room. Literally right next to it, so you can hear pretty much everything. It’s a pretty nice house, it’s not super clean or anything or in really good shape but the rent’s pretty good and I get my own room plus it’s close enough to the city and my university which saves me money on transport. My days are still filled with making music, learning languages and watching anime. Here’s the video posted below, do check it out and don’t forget to subscribe…I’ll make another vlog soon but I can’t make any promises as to how soon. Probably during the trimester break

For now, I’ll be signing off and I hope you all are enjoying yourself

University life and living in Sydney

Hey guys, so it’s been quite a while since I last posted on my blog and to be honest I have nothing to say. I originally wanted to do the 3 month challenge but ended up not doing it as I was too busy preparing to fly off to Australia which is where I live right now. It’s such a huge step in my journey moving to a new country when I’m 18 and taking a step closer in the career I want to do in the future. I’m currently doing my bachelor in composition and music production and have been meeting all sorts of different people in school. I’ve recently landed a job interview and I hope everything goes well and I get a part-time job to support myself. I still attend language meetups to practice languages so that I don’t forget them although it can be a bit hard maintaining them especially with how busy school is. It’s been over a month since I’ve been here in Sydney and I’m really liking it so far although the weather can be really ridiculous sometimes. >< Hopefully I’ll get to travel more around Sydney and other parts of Australia when I have the time and hopefully more money xD

Getting accepted into university~

Hey guys~ how have you all been?

Recently on the 13th of June, I had a skype interview with the Head of Department for the university that I was applying for. Honestly, I was so nervous I probably messed up quite a bit but it was all good. As I was waiting for the acceptance letter to arrive in the inbox I was so nervous. You know that feeling you get when you’re just patiently waiting for something to happen but it hasn’t occured yet? Well that’s kinda what it felt like.

And I am pleased to inform everyone that I have been accepted into university! Woo hoo~!! I feel kinda sad having to leave all my friends and family behind and move into a whole new country but hopefully it’ll be the experience of a lifetime and I hope to create many great opportunities there!

I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey and to all the wonderful people I’ve met in 2013 it’s been great knowing each and everyone of you guys~

P.S. I’ll be leaving Singapore around August and honestly am both really excited and nervous about this whole thing but still I can’t wait!
